Getting help with a small job does not need to be complicated. If you have something that needs repaired, installed, cleaned up, moved, organized, or otherwise taken care of, send me a message and we can start from there.
You do not need to diagnose the problem or know exactly what materials are required. A few basic details will simply help me understand the job and give you a useful answer faster.
Tell Me What You Need Done
Start with a simple description of the problem or what you would like accomplished.
For example:
“I need a screen door adjusted, two shelves installed, and the caulk around the bathtub replaced.”
If you have several small jobs, send the whole list. One advantage of Steady Hand is being able to handle different kinds of work during the same visit, and several 15- or 20-minute jobs can often be handled more efficiently together.
Send a Few Photos
Photos are one of the most useful things you can send.
For most jobs, include:
- one wider photo showing the whole area
- one or two closer photos of the problem
- a photo showing height or access if that matters
A close-up may show what is broken, but the wider photo often tells me more about what tools, equipment, or materials I may need.
Include Your Location
I primarily work in and around Cole Camp, but let me know where the job is located.
You don't need to send your full address in the first message, but a town or general location is helpful.
Tell Me What You Already Have
If you already purchased something that needs installation, let me know.
That might be a ceiling fan, faucet, security camera, shelf, flagpole, replacement hardware, paint, or another product. For some items a photo, model number, or product link can give useful info.
If you have not bought the materials yet, that's fine too. We can figure out what is needed.
Mention Access or Timing
Let me know about anything that might affect the job, such as:
- If ladder access is required
- Gates codes or locked doors
- Any large dogs or livestock
- If water or power are disconnected on the property
- If you have a short deadline or upcoming event
Most of these things are not a problem; they simply help me arrive prepared.
It Doesn't Need to Be Perfect
Your first message can be simple:
“Howdy, I'm in Cole Camp and have a few small jobs I need help with. I need a porch railing repaired and two cameras installed. Here are some photos.”
That's enough to start.
I can ask questions, come take a look if needed, and let you know what I think. If you're not sure whether Steady Hand handles the job, ask anyway. The services on my website are examples, and if something really belongs with a licensed contractor or another specialist, I'll tell you.
